Health

Husky supports a wide range of health and wellness organizations and initiatives that address important health and social issues, as well as medical equipment. These include:

  • The Husky Energy Chair in Child and Maternal Health at the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, supporting research in child heath
  • The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation in Edmonton, funding a treatment room in support of the Emergency Department Expansion as well as medical equipment
  • The Northern Lights Regional Hospital Foundation in Fort McMurray, to help fund medical equipment
  • The Husky Energy Research Program for the Early Detection of Cardiovascular Risk at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta
  • The Easter Seals House, an accessible recreational facility for children with disabilities in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
  • The Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation in St. John’s, to support enhancing the accuracy of radiation treatment planning
  • The Health Care Foundation of Newfoundland & Labrador, to support a new state-of-the art electrophysiology suite for improved cardiac health
  • Thorpe Recovery Centre in Lloydminster, to help fund a youth dining room in the new recovery centre for adults and youth
  • The Society for Treatment of Autism’s centre in Calgary
  • Calgary Interfaith Food Bank, to help raise food, funds and awareness through an annual food drive that includes many Husky field locations

Husky supports agencies that provide emergency shelters and programs for the homeless, the physically and mentally challenged, seniors, and youths at risk.
