Applying for Funding
Husky receives thousands of requests annually for funding, so it is important to submit your proposal with the requested information. The Company’s donations committees review grant applications throughout the year. While the committees make every attempt to review applications in a timely manner the review process takes about six to eight weeks.

- Check our guidelines to confirm your organization’s eligibility for funding.
- Review the Proposal Checklist.
- Apply by completing the attached Application Form and include requested information that is outlined in the checklist below. Applications must be submitted by mail, email or fax to:

Important Dates
Requests are reviewed approximately every two months. Submission deadlines are:
- January 15
- March 15
- May 15
- July 15
- September 15
- November 15
Proposal Checklist
Please include the following information with your application:
- Legal name of organization, contact information, including email and phone number, primary contact person as well as registered charity number.
- The focus of your organization.
- A brief statement of history, goals and accomplishments to date.
- Type of request (i.e. financial donation, sponsorship, in-kind donation), specify the total amount requested, how the money will be used and over what time period.
- Project budget showing anticipated expenses and incomes.
- An outline of your project.
- List of committed or approached donors, including government sources of funding.
- Most recent audited financial statements.
- Names of your organization’s board of directors and campaign team members, if applicable.
- Geographic scope of your request or program.
- Program beneficiaries.
- Key project objectives. (Should be specific, measurable, actionable and result-oriented.)
- Total project budget, and amount raised to date.
- Post-project or initiative evaluation (i.e. How will it benefit the community?)
- Other corporate funding partners involved in this initiative or project.
- Previous funding received from Husky Energy?
- Project or initiative communications and promotion. (How will Husky Energy’s contribution be recognized and to whom will it be promoted?)
- If applicable, indicate Aboriginal community affiliation.
