Husky has a substantial portfolio of assets in Western Canada. New technologies are making it possible to economically tap new pools and recover more production from existing reservoirs.

The Company is active in the exploration and production of heavy oil, light crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. The Western Canada strategy is composed of growing oil resource plays, directing capital into liquids-rich gas plays, de-risking dry gas plays and maintaining heavy oil production.

Husky is pursuing a number of initiatives in Western Canada to accelerate near-term production growth and add reserves in core operating areas, including the recent acquisition of oil and natural gas properties in Alberta and British Columbia, where existing infrastructure can be leveraged to create additional value.
