Husky works towards establishing respectful and mutually-beneficial relationships with Aboriginal communities in areas where it operates. The Company recognizes the need to harmonize its interests with the aspirations of Aboriginal communities, and has an Aboriginal affairs team to initiate and support on-going relationships with them.
Husky is a partner with United Way of Calgary and sponsors the Jack James High School Aboriginal Pride Program. This program is designed to increase the graduation rate of Aboriginal youth by enhancing awareness of their heritage and culture, and motivating them toward a successful future.
