Two other leases hold potential for oil sands development. Caribou contains 2.5 million barrels of discovered resource in the Clearwater sand deposits and can be developed with established techniques. Husky’s landholdings at Saleski contain 24.3 billion barrels of discovered resource in the Grosmont Carbonate Formation. Pilot projects will be required to determine the optimal recovery method.
