Hardisty Terminal

Blended heavy crude oil from the field and synthetic crude oil from Husky’s upgrading operations are moved to Hardisty, Alberta, to connect with the Enbridge, Express and InterPipeline Fund pipelines. The Hardisty terminal handles in excess of 430,000 barrels per day of product ranging from light and synthetic to blended heavy crude oil, and accounts for approximately 25 percent of total crude oil exports from Western Canada.

Western Canada Select

Western Canada Select (WCS) is one of North America’s largest heavy crude oil streams. Husky has managed the terminal operations for WCS since it came on stream in 2004, and subsequently expanded the Hardisty Terminal by adding butane injection facilities, a booster pump facility and connection to the Enbridge pipeline system. Current throughput of WCS is more than 264,000 barrels per day and is anticipated to double by 2010.
