Meridian Cogeneration Power Plant

Husky has a 50 percent interest in the 215-megawatt natural gas-fired electricity Meridian Cogeneration Plant adjacent to its heavy oil upgrader at Lloydminster. Electricity is sold to Saskatchewan Power Corporation and thermal energy (steam) is sold to the upgrader.

Rainbow Lake Cogeneration Power Plant

Husky has a 50 percent interest in a 90-megawatt natural gas-fired cogeneration facility adjacent to its Rainbow Lake Gas Processing Plant. The cogeneration facility produces electricity for sale into the Alberta electricity grid and thermal energy for the gas processing plant.
