The Atlantic Region is a core development area and key growth opportunity for Husky. The Company has achieved many milestones off the East Coast of Canada in more than 25 years of operation and these successes provide a solid base for continued development.
The Atlantic Region includes about 50,000 square kilometres of exploration acreage, from the Sydney Basin south of Newfoundland to Greenland. Offshore Newfoundland & Labrador, Husky's development program has focused primarily on the Jeanne d'Arc Basin, which is home to the White Rose and Terra Nova oil fields.
Husky holds numerous Exploration Licences in the region, as well as interests in eight Production Licences and 23 Significant Discovery Areas. It has an extensive exploration portfolio in the Jeanne d'Arc Basin, the deepwater Mizzen discovery in the Flemish Pass and exploration blocks off Greenland and Labrador with world-class hydrocarbon potential.
