Co-op Terms and Internships

Co-op and internship positions are available year-round, with the primary focus on the engineering, geology and accounting disciplines. Work terms can range in length from four to 16 months and locations vary.

As a co-op or internship student at Husky, you will work in your field of study to gain career-related experience with mentorship and guidance from a team of professionals. The projects you complete will provide meaningful, productive and rewarding challenges while introducing you to Husky's business and the oil and gas industry.

Co-op and internship positions are posted in January, May and September on Husky's Career Opportunities web page, and at selected post-secondary institutions. Interviews are conducted in February, June and October.

Summer Student Positions

Husky offers positions in a wide variety of disciplines, most commonly power engineering, mechanical, chemical or petroleum engineering, and commerce.

Positions in Calgary are located at Husky's head office. Field positions are located throughout Alberta and in Saskatchewan. To be eligible for Husky's summer student positions, you must be returning to school full time in the fall of the following school year.

New Graduate Positions

The majority of our new graduates are hired in September or January of the school year, for start dates in May or June. However, some positions are posted at Career Opportunities throughout the year as they become available. Graduates who have worked at Husky as co-op, internship or summer students receive first consideration when new graduate positions become available.

New graduate positions are typically located at Husky's head office in Calgary or field locations. Once on the job, new graduate recruits have a variety of training opportunities available, including mentorship under a senior level manager.
